Essential Applications...

Even I like GNU/Linux distributions, as I have on my IBM laptop, Ubuntu one. I have to work on Windows Operating Systems. The reason is my laptop is not enought fast to work with some applications and most of the Jânio´s work (my co-orientador) is done under Windows with Matlab an so on...
So now I have two computers:

• On laptop is running the simulator NS-2 over Ubuntu O.S.
  
• On the other is running Matlab over Windows O.S.

Now I list some useful applications that I use on Windows:

• VLC Player: video player
  
• Foobar2000: music player
  
• Daemon Tools: to mount virtual DVD or CDROM
  
• Mozilla Firefox:
  
• Pidgin: Msn client
  
• Gimp: graphic editor
  
• Notepad++: text editor
  
• DeepBurnerPro: burner application
  
• GoogleTalk: google client
  
• 7-zip: files de/compressor
